Jonathan Davis’s Science Experiment HCI=Hydrochloric acid, H2SO4= Sulfuric Acid, Zn-Zinc, Cu=Copper, Sn=Tin, Pb= Lead, Fe=Iron Reason of creation of experiment
Knew I had a few misconceptions on what happens when you bathed metals into Acids. I also just wanted to see what would happen to the metals or acids themselves. Proposal/Plan
Get various metals and see what kinds of metal are available. Preferably in sheet or powdered form. Get 2-4 types of acids and put the same or approximant amounts of the metals in each of the test tubes which will be filled partially filled up with different acids. After a few weeks or days, depending on what happens. I will come back to my experiments and see how each of them has changed in shape, color, and maybe smell.

What went in what HCI + FE HCI + Cu HCI + Pb HCI + Zn H2SO4 + Pb H2SO4 + Zn H2SO4 + Fe H2SO4 + Cu 10% Acetic Acid + Pb 10% Acetic Acid + Zn 10% Acetic Acid + Sn 10% Acetic Acid + Fe Results Results on all test tubes were completely different from what I had expected would have happened, particularly on the test tubes where the color of the acid would change into a very dark green or orange color. A few of the test tubes had had crystals growing inside of them and 2 of them had crusted over on the top. Pictures below show results…
